The Eye of Minds by James Dashner

WOW. WOW WOW WOW! That ending. I heard the ending was a big surprise, but I never expected what I found.
I should start from the beggining, right? Truth is, when I started the book I found it similar to Ready Player One by Ernest Cline beacuse it also had a plot that involved players working out problems in the virtual world through video games. But this novel couldn´t be farther from that .
We begin our story in the video game world like any other. A group of gamer/hacker friends enjoy a day of leveling up to achive the ultimate goal: to get admitted onto a higher level of the game. One more thing. This game is based of immersive reality whicj allows the player to feel everything from hunger to fear. But when the game begins to get mixed with reality and players start getting trapped inside the game and begin to die in the real world things get serious. A goverment agency begins recluting gamers to help find whoever is responsable for this and our gamer friends get calledto lend a hand. I´m not going to spoil anything else. I´m dpone. That ending got me so caught up I almost lost my head for a second there.
If you´ve read Maze Runner, you´re gonna love this one.

The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul by Douglas Adams

As always, Douglas Adams is the way to go when you want to read funny sci-fi. On this ocassion, I found myself with a book that was actually the second part of a trilogy. Oh, well, I thought. So I read it anyway.
The book begins with the counter of an airline exploding in a ball of fire while one of the main character is trying to book a flight to Oslo. On the other side of the city, Dirk Gently, our other main character and "Private Holistic Investigator" wakes up late for an appointment with a client. And from this point on, I´m not going to say anything else due to spoilers.
Now, to analyse the book itself: It switches characters often and tells bit of the story from the view point of each character, which was a nice detail to understand the story a bit better. On my opinion the book was very intresting and easy to read, even though it was very similar to "Hitchhiker´s Guide to the Galaxy". But considering they were written by the same man, it makes sense. The ending felt a bit rushed, but gave closure nicely to the book.
To sum up: Good book, gotta get the first one to see if I missed something important.
